Canon w6400 won't power down

'Hi,
My pre-owned Canon w6400 will not go off when I press the power button to turn it off.
The ""Shut Down - Please wait" message comes up and stays on the screen and the printer do not go off.
I have to turn it off in the mains.

Please help
