My printer started leaving a faint background smudge. I tried cleaning the inside, but no luck. Next I replaced the magenta cartridge and found that fixed it. However, the replacement cartridge makes a very loud squeaking noise, so I put the old one back until I can get a another replacement. Any other course of action besides buying the new cartridge?
