computer not communicating with Lexmark printer. Why?

I have a dell computer with windows 10 Home and I use a Lexmark X6650 that recently quit printing.

Error code reads;

Communication Not Available
The printer cannot communicate with the computer

I have:
Ensured the printer is on.
Disconnected and reconnected the printers power cable and USB cable.
I turned off my firewall for 15 minutes and restarted my computer several times.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer.
